Sapphire is a precious gemstone. Sapphire is every color of corundum that is not red (ruby), and it’s found in the widest range of color out of any gemstone. Blue Sapphire is usually just called sapphire, otherwise, the color is utilized as a specifier, such as green sapphire, orange sapphire, etc. The name sapphire is derived via the Latin "sapphirus" from the Greek "sappheiros", which referred to lapis lazuli.
Blue Sapphire is thought to increase and enhance intuition, mental clarity, and spiritual power. It is associated with the Throat Chakra, a great stone for Virgos and pairs well with stones such as Lapis Lazuli, Tanzanite, Blue Lace Agate and Carnelian.
